Good News For Alfa Romeo MiTo Buyers


Good news for motorists who have purchased Alfa Romeo. From 1st July, this kind to the environment vehicle will be excluded from the congestion charge for three years – but in order to take advantage of this exemption which ends in June 2016, owners of this vehicle will have to register by the 28 June. The congestion charge exemption will help motorists save approximately £2,520 in a year or more than £7500 over the three years.

Two of the models from Alfa Romeo range – the special edition Alfa MiTo Live and Alfa MiTo Sprint - will be excused from the congestion charge.

So what’s with the special treatment with these particular vehicles? Well in order to enter into London’s congestion charge zone, free of charge, the Co2 output have to be under 100g/km. From 1st July, this output will drop to under 75g/km. This change doesn’t only apply to Alfa Romeo models, but many vehicles whose Co2 output is between 75g/km and 99g/km. Well, it looks like the Alfa Romeo is not the only model that will be receiving the special treatment after all.

The Alfa MiTo Live and Alfa MiTo Sprint are powered by the award winning Twin Air engine, which only emits 98g/km. They are also available with a 1.3 JTDM-2 Diesel in which its Co2 output is just 95g/km. With both engines producing low Co2 emission, the sporty Alfa MiTo Live and Sprint continues to save motorists money as they also qualify for free road tax.

So not only these sub-100kg/km models are extremely inexpensive to run, they easily ooze style too: the Alfa MiTo Live possesses 17” alloy wheels, rear tinted windows, whereas the Alfa MiTo sprint boasts 16” alloy wheels with a show-stopping spoiler.

The Alfa MiTo Live is definitely marketed for younger drivers as it also possess the latest technical gadgets including BOSE sound system and AppRadio system, which enables the driver to connect and access their apps on their smartphone which is connected through a mere seven-inch multi touch screen.
